"Who was she?" "Everything nice amidst all of my chaos. Let's leave it at that now." He replied. "No please tell me!" She begged. "Well.. she was everything right to my everything wrong... What?" "Lame ass that literally sounds like a ripoff from a highway bookstores' quote card." She smirked. 'Sigh.' he took a drag from his half done cigarette and continued "She.. she was my mane. She was the light in my dark. She was the truth in disguise. She was the fire in the circus. The love of my life. She was the fleeting spark off of a Flint. She was the polarity to my extremes. She was what no one else could ever be. She was what I needed but didn't deserve. She was what I had when I lost it all. She was there when no one was. She was the spirit of my life. She was the twist to my plots-" She interrupted "hey! but, wait, why is it that you seem to be narrating a past experience?" She wondered "Where is she now." He answered seemingly lost, "She is here. She has always been. She always will be.." "But who!? Smartass!" She quizzed him. He said with a wiser face- "That much my dear you'll have to figure out on your own." She rolled we eyes "You know I hate these things the most." "Well, that's life. There is no perfect question nor ever a perfect answer. Just what feels right. Just the struggle to understand why. Instead of how. The need to know the reason instead of the what. The passion to chase someone without knowing whom!" He was cut of again when she said "Hey, hey stop. Don't go on rattling about anything!! Please stick to the point will you tell me or not?" He said almost comically "I don't think I ever will." "But why?" He murmured "..Because my dear I'm afraid if I do so she won't exist anymore." "Hm?" "Nothing.." and took another puff...

How and why I started On the Safer Side.

My dad has been a patient of chronic anxiety from the past two and a half decades while one of my cousins is autistic. Many people in my friends and family have dealt with serious psychological ailments, a few of them have even lost their loved ones to suicide and depression, as a direct result of maladjustment. Over time I kept witnessing the far-reaching impacts of Mental Health-related issues in our communities.  All of this prompted me to think of a way to live life. Growing up I read a lot of western and eastern Philosophy among other things which heavily influenced and helped shape my thinking. And I started with 'How good would it be if we had a universal benchmark of what a mentally healthy person should be like?' One thing lead to another until I finally started my journey into Psychology.
